Controlling Ultraware/Ultra 3000 with visual basic program

5 posts in this topic

Hello, I have an Ultra 3000 drive and the Ultraware software. I have an existing visual basic program that reads the force being exerted on a test specimen. I want to use this force information to make the motor stop when the force is at a certain value. Is there a way to use have the visual basic program tell the Ultraware software when to set the velocity to zero? Or is there a way to control the ultra 3000 directly from the visual basic program? Or can I recreate the program in Ultraware, and have it get the reading from a usb load cell interface? Thank you! Kevin Edited by kevinjs

The U3000 can respond to serial commands, this should be in the manual. Alan
