Communication between 3964R/RK512 Protocol and SLC

3 posts in this topic

Hi Gurus, I have a project on hand which calls for a communication between 3964R/RK512 Protocol and my SLC504. Actually, I'm not familiar with the siemens 3964R/RK512 stuff... My customer can't explain me either. Any guru can explain what these are? 1. 3964R 2. RK512 3. BB22444 And I also find a module on Prosoft website. Can it do the job? This is just a wag, but had a piece of machinery years ago while working for an SI, that spoke 3964R/RK512 and I believe the project guys wound up using the prosoft card. The 3964R/RK512 is similiar in a lot of ways to connecting to AB PLC's using RIO Scanner and RIO adapter technology as I overheard it. The prosoft module has a memory table that the siemens plc or other device can read and write to. Depends on who is master. Sorry that's as far as I can go.
