I can't connect to FX1N - error message

6 posts in this topic

I wanted to monitor a program today and hooked up to the E150 terminal. Tried to verifiy with PLC and got an error. I had the baud rate set to 19,2000 & com2 which is what the device manager is saying my port is. I can send and receive programs from the E150 while the cable is hooked up to it (keyspan adapter & cable to RS232 on panel). I'm trying to pass through to the PLC but it's not letting me. Any ideas?

According to the new project I just created in E-Designer for an E150 connected serially to an FX2N, the default comm parameters are 9600, 7, E, 1. That's the default settings in GX-Developer too.

Make sure the port parameters in the terminal are the same for RS232 and RS485 port. In GX Developer be sure that the transparant mode in on. Edited by Gambit

Thanks. I didn't have transparent mode checked. I've made the change and I'll give it a try.
