STEP5 setting problem

I just install the STEP5 V6.3 DOS version into my PC, my PC operating system is DOS 6.22. So, we need to make any parameter setting on the Autoexec.bat & Config.sys files ? or we need to make some setting in somewhere ? because I want to use COM1 link with S5 CPU. Hope some expert can give help. Thanks.

As I remember Step5 requires HIMEM and EMM386 with NOEMS memory. I had following lines in Config.sys: DEVICE = C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS DOS = HIGH,UMB DEVICE = C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS FILES = 32 BUFFERS = 20 You may also require following lines in autoexec.bat SET S5_HOME=C:\STEP5\S5_HOME SET S5_SYSTEM= C:\STEP5\S5_SYS PATH C:\STEP5\S5_HOME;%PATH% They may differ if you have installed step5 to directory other than c:\Step5.
