Sending Data to Data Tables from Excel to Micrologix

I'm trying to figure out how to be able to send numercial values to various datatables in a Micrologix 1500 using Excel or MS Acess? I know you need to use the Visual Basic in Excel or Acess, but I don't know what the comands or sytax are to connect? I believe RS Linx will provide the connection, but what I don't understand is how excel or MS Acess will talk with RS Linx. If anybody has any tips, or knows of any tutorials or manual explaining this I'd greatly appreciate it. M

Yes, you need RsLinx. From there it is very easy. You need a non-Lite version of RsLinx. It could be Single Node, OEM, Professional, or Gateway. Even if you only have RsLinx Lite go to help and do a search on DDE. There are some good example there
