Water Fuel

26 posts in this topic

Many years ago in OMNI or Hot Rod, I can't recall which, I read about a Ford Fiesta fitted with a tank of water, a spool of aluminum (catalyst) and it ran on hydrogen generated on demand under the hood. I think they said it would go a top speed of 30mph for about 50miles, then you had to replace the spool. It was zero emmisions, I don't know what happened to the aluminum. Just need to add compuker autopilot and a beer can chipper shredder and it would sell like hotcakes. No, seriously, THIS is the near future of private transportation. And HERE is the migration path. As soon as genetic engineering comes up with a yeast that can digest our landfill contents...problem solved. But I sure would like to have one of THESE. If we can withdraw from Iraq, and spend the same amount in the next few years, on hydrogen infrastructure, that would be more ideal. Edited by OkiePC
