Hello Engineers.

Is it a good idea to run RsLogix 500 in a Windows 10 virtual machine with a Windows 11 host? because according to Rockwell Automation, there is no compatible version of RsLogix for Windows 11.

Thank you

I've been in the habit of running all of my automation software in virtual machines since about 2011 or so. If that's the only software you need, you could try it on Win11 and it will most likely be just fine even though it's not officially supported. If you ever need to run more software packages in the future, though, I would seriously recommend virtual machines.

Yeah, that is the only software I need, so I'll try to install it on Windows 11 and see how it works. Thanks for the advice and your time.

I was forced to upgrade to Windows 11 a few months ago and so far, RS5 and RS500 are both behaving without a VM.
