Posted 10 Oct 2023 Hi, I have a 1734-OB8E module on a POINT I/O system. In the hardware configuration, everything looks fine. However, I am not able to energize any outputs on the card. What could be wrong? Working in Logix5000.
Posted 10 Oct 2023 Show your wiring for the whole block. (That module requires field power from an upstream block, like a field power distribution module.)
Posted 11 Oct 2023 your picture looks like you're setting the force value , if so did you enable i/o forcing? 1 person likes this
Posted 11 Oct 2023 Hi The output now works, i found that forcing did not work. Properly because i did not enable i/o forcing as BobLfoot is suggesting. Did not konw that was nessesary, could just see that the forcemask was true and the processor had a force status. So is set the output high in the program and then it worked. Next time I will know to enable i/o forcing... 1 person likes this
Posted 11 Oct 2023 You can add and remove forces individually at any time for both analog and digital tags. But when you enable forces, you're enabling (and disabling) all installed forces all at once. If you add a force while forces are enabled, that new force value will take effect immediately. Posted 12 Oct 2023 Best Practice suggestion - Never leave a force active in a system and disconnect your programming terminal. Write code to repalce the force if it needs to remain. 2 people like this
