hi guys.,, anyone could share some idea to upgrade SIMATIC 505?

What do you mean by upgrade? Do you require more I/O? More processing power? What model processor are you currently using? I hope you mean upgrade , and not replace, the 505's are a great PLC for process control. Ken

The SIMATIC 505 runs on an old TI platform using TISOFT. I have used many different PLC in the last 15 years and if possible I would replace with Siemens S7 hardware and software but my preference would be Allen Bradley products ($$). I just ordered a system from GE (versamax) to see how friendly it is for small applications. There's a lot of options!!
