Posted 13 Jan 2005 I have an old machine which uses an Omron SYSMAC C40H. I am an Allen Bradley user and I am not familiar at all with Omron units. I would like to transfer the ladder from the Omron to an AB PLC. Is this possible? I have a copy of SYSWIN 3.2 which is a demo but it appears to work with an older level of PLC. Would I need to upgrade this to a licenced version? The trouble is I am not sure exactly what kind of beast an Omron is. On the Allen Bradley side I have RS linx, RS logix, Panel Builder etc and plenty of Micrologix 1200C PLC's regards

Posted 13 Jan 2005 hi Bear, yes you need a full working version of Syswin to pull the program out of the C40H...The C40H is an older model of PLC by any standards... You should be able to manually convert the program, its just getting to know the addressing and mnemonics equivalents......etc..
