I have one of these units which displays an error message when I plug it into an Analog Micrologix 1000 PLC (L20 BWB-5A series A) The error message is 2001H invalid device. The hand held programmer is a 1761-HHP-B30 series B Firmware 2.0 My suspicion is that the programmer firmware is too old for the PLC and therefore does not recognise the PLC type. If my guess is correct, is there a way of updating the programmer? many thanks

I have an old machine which uses an Omron SYSMAC C40H. I am an Allen Bradley user and I am not familiar at all with Omron units. I would like to transfer the ladder from the Omron to an AB PLC. Is this possible? I have a copy of SYSWIN 3.2 which is a demo but it appears to work with an older level of PLC. Would I need to upgrade this to a licenced version? The trouble is I am not sure exactly what kind of beast an Omron is. On the Allen Bradley side I have RS linx, RS logix, Panel Builder etc and plenty of Micrologix 1200C PLC's regards
