CC link over Modbus

Hi! I am trying to look for difference between cc link and modbus. As I understand, by principle they are almost the same and I could not define the advantages and disadvantages. You could give me some more detailed difference between the two. One client is asking me which interface is to use, CC link or Modbus? Since the connected device is open for both communication. Thanks!!

It depends on what devices you are trying to connect and how much data you have to move.
