dm channel

Hello everybody iam having a omron plc cj1m with a program for synchronisation with encoders situation now synchronisation is okay but like to move the timing forwards or backwards this can now be done by filling in a value in the display that write the value in a DM channel what i like to do is not using the display but ussing 1 input for up and 1 input for down that then for each time the input is high it add up a x value in that dm channel and when we press down we decrease that value is there anybody that can give me some instructions to use tried todo it with @--b and the @++b but doesn't work thanks for helping

try @++ and @-- - increment and decrement. @ is a rising edge trigger.
