Posted 24 Sep 2010 What communication protocol does the E1100 use, i.e. Modbus. I looked at Prosoft’s website and can't find a gateway you posted which card are you planning on using. Prosoft products are good and if you use the correct card or standalone gateway the work well. The only other thing I would look at is the cost of the module your are going to use they can be very expensive to use for just one HMI attached to it, I would then look at a PanelView from AB and see if you can get one for less than the Prosoft card. Posted 25 Sep 2010 If you're refering to what I think you are based on my Quick Google Search youa re asking if you can connect a Mitsubishi E1100 HMI to an Allen Breadley / Rockwell Automation SLC 500 CPU most likely an SLC 5/05 but it could be a 5/04 or 5/03. According to the E-Designer manual found here https://my.mitsubishi-automation.com/downloads/view/doc_loc/4758/E-Designer_for_E1000-series_English.pdf?id=4758&saveAs=0&form_submit=View+now The protocols exist for connecting the E1100 to the serial port of the SLC without any messy-expensive prosoft card. Posted 26 Sep 2010 The E1100 can talk DF1 so why would you need a bridge to connect it to a SLC? Connect it straight to the serial port on the SLC.
