compiling while offline

5 posts in this topic

Hello, I am using GX Dev. with a FX3U PLC. I have a program that I last edited while online during run. Now I am offline and I have it set to write mode and I would like to make some offline changes and then load it into the machine at a later time. My problem is when I try to compile it tries to communicate with the PLC and tells me there is a communication problem. Is there a setting somewhere that I am not seeing? Thanks, plcdp

When you are done online with a PLC, always hit F2 to switch back to offline write mode before shutting down the software. It will always ask to change that write during run setting back to offline mode when you do this.

Go to the Edit menu, select Write Mode. And make sure the setting mentioned before in Tools, Options, are set to 'Don't Write to PLC'.
