Editing In GX Developer

When editing in GX I cant simply change a number, eg when highlighting X5 wanting to change it to X6 she adds a complete normally open contact when I only want to change the number, I have been through the parameters but cant see any thing obvous. Any help appreciated. Thanks to all who replied about the remote programmimg problem, have her running now, will reply individually latter on

Hello, When editing if you want to change something instead of adding to the ladder, you should be in overwrite mode. If you press the insert key you will toggle between insert and overwrite. The editing box will toggle colors...blue for overwrite and purple for insert. Also in the bottom right corner it will display the mode you are currently in. plcdp

Hi doppy if you look in the bottom right corner of your screen it should show insert. If you press your insert key it should change to ovrwrite (overwrite) Rodney
