cp1l plc pc link and danfoss drive

hi there am i able to talk to a danfoss drive on the same network as a pc link setup with one or more plc's? or would i then have to scrap the pc link and do non protocol communications between the plc's also has any one wrote a program to talk to a danfoss drive with the built in fc protocol or a sample of how i would do this?.

The Danfoss drive would not be able to work on the same network as the PC link. You would need to write a 'driver' using the non-procedural port setup ('RS232"), and issue both Host Link and Danfoss commands. I do not have any code for a Danfoss protocol.

What model Danfoss drive? Most of them now support Modbus natively, you could use a CP1L and do it that way. Much easier than trying to replicate the Danfoss FC protocol in standard ladder.... Do you have the option of using the M model, with 2 serial ports? Edited by scottmurphy
