FINS Gateway Vista Compatibility

Is FINS Gateway 2003 compatible with Windows Vista? I need to use it with iFix4.5 SCADA software. If it is not compatible then I have to use Windows XP. Regards SVN

Whilst I don't have any official info, I am certain it doesn't support Vista as running OS. It runs fine on XP.

The local guru in Sydney tells me FINS Gateway 2003 is Vista compatible.

FGW2003 supports Win2000 and WinXP. Not Vista. There is a Vista tested product being released soon (probably early 2009). It will be called something like Cx-Gateway 2008. It is basically FGW but now works with Vista.

I have FGW 2003 running on Vista without any problems - Citect SCADA - Ethernet interface drilling into Controller Link - total of 6 PLCs - all CJ1.

BobB, thanks for the info. Meanwhile the customer has decided to go with Windows XP SP2 for the iFix PC since he is not very confident about Vista. SVN
