Intrinsically Safe Remote I/O modules

We want to know if Siemens have Instrinsically Safe Remote I/O modules which we want to use for an underground mine application. The remote I/O nodes to be placed in flame proof enclosures will be networked to a surface PLC for monitoring of conveyor parameters. Please let us know if any such item is available in Siemens Family of PLCs. Who are the other reputed PLC manufacturers (ABB/ Schneider/GE Fanuc) who have I/Os for this kind of application. We know that AB has the Flex-Ex range of I/Os.

Hi archana_sharan They are called ET200iSP. The connection to the control systems is via Profibus.

Also remember you can install standard I/O and use intrinsic barriers.
