TSX 4740 BACKUP BATTERY

HELLO, I HAVE A TSX 4740 THAT IS LOOSING ITS V MEMORY. I CAN'T FIND WHERE THE BATTERY IS LOCATED, AND I CAN'T FIND A MANUAL FOR IT. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A FREE MANUAL, OR CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERY. I WILL APPREACIATE ANY HELP, THANKS

I think the battery is in the memory card, you have to plug your PLC to charge it.

Had this issue once on a 3722, and couldn't get the 3.6V 1/2 AA size battery... However it had a little pigtail connector. After scrounging various phone stores, I found one 3.6V lithium battery made for a model of phone which had a similar pigtail. I'd every intention that time to replace this makeshift arrangement with a proper one. Telemecaniqe sell it in India for about $50/= which I think is too much and avoided buying. However more than 3years on... the thing works fine and I have stopped thinking about it.. Regards, best wishes... Raj S. Iyer
