Thanks Ken, The encoder used to read the machine position (0-360 deg). I just read from wiring diagram, encoder has 10 pin, pin 1 to 8 for bit 0 to bit 7 and +5 vdc, 0 vdc. Encoder connected to absolute encoder module.

Hi... I use 1747-PIC with windows xp service pack 2 and RSLinx classic version 2.5. I try to configure the 1747-PIC/AIC+ but I found error message such as "Device not pass the windows xp Testing". How to solve this error? Thank you for suggestion or idea. James

Hi... I use 1024 ppr encoder with 1746-HSCE2. I want to configure the hsce2 to count machine position (0-360 deg) and the counter will automatic reset if the machineback to zero position. How to configure the hsce2? Any idea or sample of program? Thank you, James

Thanks for idea. I try to setup the maximum range to 4095 and it works but I have different zero position of encoder reading and machine. I adjust machine zero (home) position and reset the encoder to zero but the reading is always different (around 115 deg). How to make it same? Any idea ? Thanks for suggestion. Regards, James

Hi... I have to connect 3 voltage 0-10vdc inputs (from 3 voltage divider - see attach, diffential connection) to 1769-IF8. Configure the 1769-IF8: input type 0-10vdc, data format is engineering units and scale it to 0 to 3000 rpm. The reading is not stable, always fluctuate about 10 rpm. How to solve this problem? Yes 0-10vdc fluctuating. If possible I want to fix the wiring. How about my wiring? If wiring is ok and could you advice me the code (rslogix 5000 code) to make it stable? Thanks. James

Thank you for reply. We disconnect the output and measure it using osciloscope, no pulse (bad output on output 2). We send the module back to distributor for warranty claim. James

Hi... I used Micrologix 1100 (1763-L16BBB) pulse train output (output 2 and 3) and the common is connected to dc com (using npn configuration). I have to connect to Panasonic servo drive: output #2 to drive #1 and output #3 to drive #2. I have the problem if I connected both outputs to two drive and initiate the pulse (20KHz ), all drives is not run but the output 2 and 3 is blink. If I connect only one channel to one drive then the drive is run. How to solve this problem? I need any suggestion or idea. Thanks. james

Thank you for reply. I used SLC-5/04 specially to monitor the events , no other application at all. I connect to wonderware using KTX card (DH+). How to record the time stamp of event? in PLC or HMI? Currently I write the code may using FIFO instruction. Regards, James

Thank you for reply. I change counter parameter preset value It works with no parameter fault. I try to turn encoder and the reading is 2000 pulse and back to zero. For length measurement, the pulse reading should be accumulate and need to reset manually. How to solve this problem? and how to reset the counter reading? Thanks again for help. James

Hi.. I still have the problem with b3:5/13 always set to 1 after power-up. The n19:0 is 60. The connection to encoder module is A+ A-, Z+, Z-, encoder ppr for both channels is 2000 ppr. Any idea how to solve the problem? Thanks. James HSCE2_Setup.RSS

Hi... I used Micrologix 1200 1762-L40BWA, 3 units of 1762-IQ16 and 1 unit of 1762-OB16. After power up, some inputs are on (24 VDC - measure between input and dc com) but input indicator stil of. This problem happen on all inputs and base module. The led Power and Fault on base module stay on. I try to online to ML1200 (using 1761-CBL-PM02) but can't see on RSLinx. I try other ML1200 and it works. I used RSLinx 2.43 and RSLogix 500 7.0. Any idea on how to solve the problem? Thank you. James
