HI AB plc processor 5/03 not communication on the DH 485 network but green led(DH_485) is solid on green I did recycle the processor still the same problem . I did try using RS-232 and procesor work fine even though I had a bit difficulty to remove PIC driver in RSlinx. Is it possible the 1747- PIC have become faulty and how can I verify it. what is the best way to remove a driver in RSLINX or how can you disable it Many Thanks

HI I have two questions : 1 - when address display for both inputs and outputs are checked in view properties then the appropriate cross reference is displayed which is a good tool but when the program is printed the cross reference at each input and output is not included in the print , can somebody tell me why. Is there any solution. 2- Is it possible to have the same output in two differnet subroutine in a program? Thanks

HI I like to get some info about encoder that measures lenght or distance travelled and how is connected to plc in addition how distance is measured using plc logic. Any help is appreciated Thanking you all.

HI There are 3 boxes at the bottom right hand side of the RS LOGIX screen, one showing the file number and rung number the other one is APP and last one is read which is not highlited. Can you explain what are the other 2 boxes. Many thanks.

HI I like to use FLL instruction and make zero all in the destination file but at the same time I do not want to change one or two bits within destination file but I like to make these selected bits zero somewhere else in the program using clear instruction for example in FLL instruction my source is zero and destination is #N12:0 and length is 4 words but I do not want to make bits 12 and bit 14 to zero at word N12;2 I wonder how can I achieve this Thanks

HI SNERKEL When n12:2/12 is true then b3;0/0 is true but when FLL istruction becomes active surely all output and input become false . Am I right or missing the point Thanks MIKE31

HI I need someone to clarify if I am missing the point . As I understand when a new program is downloaded to processor then the previous program in the processor is overwritten another words for example I have two outputs which are on in the old program then I decide to go off line still those outputs are on now I down load new program which all output are off, when I go on line still those two outputs from previous program still on (AND THE ONLY WAY THAT I CAN PUT THEM OFF IS TO GO TO DATA TABLE AND RESET THOSE OUTPUTS MANUALLY ie:REPLACE THEM BY ZERO ) and if I am not wrong then the outputs from old program must be off because the all outputs are overwritten by the new program down load process why those output are still on after the downloading Is it possible that something wrong with the processor itself I hope you can figure out my point THANKS MIKE31

HI First thanks for all the help . I have a question about panel view 550. How can I communicate with PV 550 using DH 485. Panel view already connected to slc processor 5/03 through DH 485 terminal and the only port available is com port on the processor that we use null modem cable to go on line . I wonder what is the arrangement to communicate with the panel view terminal Many thanks MIKE31

HI How to count or totalize an event up to 999999 in AB slc 500 and to view it on HMI panel view 500 and higher . sorry for typing error it should be 5/02 and higher processors Thanks for advice and suggestion

HI If one word of integer file is max 32767 and sign bit then how can you have larger than 32767 using N file .Floating point file not allowed on AB 5/02 processor and Panel view is also used to indicate this number at any time when needed. If you know the way please let me know thanks
