ninjaman posted a topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
hello I bought a micrologix 1000 off ebay, plugged it in and tried to download a program I made to test the plc. then up popped a window that said proc name SEL_MK5 enter password or master password I tried entering that telephone number or the memclear micrologix thing but that didn't work. when I turn on the plc the run light is on. should this be off? I don't know if im stuck with a duff plc here. I have windows 7 so I don't know if that comlite 32 would work? any help would be great!!! thanks simon Bradley, ONLY ANOTHER 340 OR SO DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! YAY!!!! -
hello I tried making my own cable from parts and using a diagram I found online. on this site. "simple programming cable for Mitsubishi FX" is the thread name. the first diagram on there, the black one. that's the connections I used. no luck what so ever. I don't know what is going on here. does anyone know the name of the drivers required, it would be a great help if any one would share that information. I would have thought that there was one driver in particular. any help would be great thanks simon

ron s that's the exact same thing I have. please please please could you tell me your setup. I have three drivers that download from that cable serenum.sys ch341 SER or something ch341 dll or dpp or something and it doesn't work! that's the same seller I bought from exactly the same cable. I don't know what im doing wrong I bought a cheap serial 232 to usb converter, an rs232 plug and socket cable and I have to buy the mini 8 pin din plug to put on the rs232 socket to make my own cable. the serial adapter I plugged in came with the same three drivers mentioned above. HEADACHE!!!! thanks for your adding information about the cables!! all the best simon

I did get a message saying that I have the most up to date and correct driver. there is a "yellow cable version 2" driver which I had to move to desktop and then download. this still did not work. I have bought a serial converter (rs232 - usb) from ebay, then I have to get the rs232 female socket and attach it to a mini 8 pin din plug. I hope that works is there a thread that tells what cable people are using, cost, where they bought it. a review thread. that would be good and helpful. ill start. I got a cable from ebay for £10.91 free postage. fast delivery, yellow "version 2" cable. mini 8 pin din one end, usb the other with a yellow box in the middle. two leds, one for tx and the other for rx. came with mini cd loaded with drivers that don't seem to help. I tried a number of things but no luck. this is the first cable I tried. I took the plc to college and tried it there with there Mitsubishi thing. the plc work first time no fuss. college uses a cheap usb to rs 232 serial converter connected to a Mitsubishi grey box with a green led. then a 485 cable (I think) to the 422 plug. apparently very expensive that Mitsubishi box.

do I have to stop the program from running to download to it? I still cant get the password to work properly? thanks simon -
when I plug in the cable it automatically downloads a driver called ch340. I think this is by winchiphead.com they have information about a chip called ch340.

when I look in the usb properties it says, 8 bit none and 1 bit instead of what is mentioned above. 7 bit even 1 bit. I have tried to change these with no luck. I cant change the settings on the usb properties. just in gx developer. if you put this in search on youtube it will show the video I made of me trying to get the cable working with the plc "problems with sc09 driver for plc cable Mitsubishi melsec fx1s"

hello I don't want to hijack a post or anything but I would like a little help with a problem im having I bought a cable from ebay, usb sco9 fx, it says windows 7 compatible I have a cd with it but none of the relevant drivers work. I have the yellow cable 422 to usb with a box in the centre, two leds, on tx and the other rx. I plugged it in and it says com 7, I clicked on the drivers and it says two. one serenum.sys and CH341s64.sys are these the right drivers. I have emailed the seller and no luck yet. I have connected it to my fx1s30mr and tried connecting it. though I don't have any good instructions for connecting the hardware and software. I have gx developer, it says cannot communicate, check connections and then an ES 1802007 number the speed is 9.6 com 7 I don't know what else to do. I also have an allen Bradley micrologix 1000, would this cable work for that as well? any help would be great thanks simon
