  1. A sobering Incident

Yes, That is sorry to hear, and some people that do this line of work make it seem like they are not liable for such accidents. Not only is the company you work for put on the chopping block, but you are too. That is why it is you job as an individual to carefully safegaurd your equipment before it goes out the door or before you turn it over to the customer on their floor no matter what the cost.
  2. OverTime Pay Questions for everyone

In response to the question I am an Automation Engineer in Northeast Indiana. I typically work anywhere from 50-70 hours per week, with overtime pay. The company that I work for pays overtime based on an 8 hour day, anything over that, for that day, goes into the overtime bin. The overtime pay is also time and a half. Now, I am an hourly employee, but I make way more money than I ever did when I was salaried. Saturdays are all overtime hours at time and a half. Sundays are all overtime hours at double time.
  3. First Time Omron Programmer

Well, I have mainly programmed AB PLC'S and I have some experience with GE, but I have not even touched an OMRON. Are there any major differences in addressing, bits or i/o, that I should know. Anything else that you can possibly think of that will keep me in the clear of problems will help. Basically we are an OEM and we are working on a project with two Nachi robots and an Omron PLC as the brain. Thanks in advance.
  4. Analog Input Code Example

No doubt I still need a little time. But, I learned many valuable lessons over there, as well as one of the most important life lessons about a career and work ethic. I thank everyone over there for that, and things happen for a reason, I seem to fit in here a little better. We'll have to meet up for lunch one of these days. I'll be in touch.
  5. Analog Input Code Example

  6. I have an application in which I am using a 1746-NI4 analog input card. What I am doing is taking values from 2 mass air flow sensors, and making a decision based upon this value. I am really looking for someones sample code, but any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
