  1. Citect SCADA problem

Make sure that you dont put big rectangle with gradient fill, it may cause this problem. Also when you open the page in design mode go to menu Edit>break lock mode, but make sure no to move template. in all cases you can use menu tools>goto object to select certain objects.
  2. Enter variable tag in runtime mode

I understand that you need to enter certain value for tags in runtime. If you do not have real device like PLC: you have to use local tags. then in graphics put numeric display, in display value tag put your tag name. In input tap use following command FormNumPad(sTitle, Input, Mode) If you have real device you can use variable tags where you can write values inside PLC. I hope you find it useful.
  3. citect scada via server

If you don't have dongol you can not run the configuration of Server and Client in demo mode, but you can only use it in standalone configuration with 15-20 minutes runtime in demo mode without license. You can contact local Schneider Electric office to ask for demonstration dongle if they may liked to help. For other part, it can run on Windows 7 using Vijeo Citect versions 7.1 and higher.
  4. Citect Licensing

License on your dongol is valid for Vijeo citect version 7.x so it will work on version 7.2 without buying new one, windows version does not make difference. In case it does not work you can go to http://www.citect.schneider-electric.com/authcode follow details to get update code for free then go to Vijeo citec explorer to Help>Upgrade key and enter new code.
  5. scada vijeo citect with PM710

To communicate with PM710 you have to use Modbus TCP/IP to Modbus serial (RS485) gateway (ex. EGX100) first then you can configure the device using express communication wizard.
