Hey guys, Today I should copy a programme from a panelview to an other one. The first one was a 2711-T10C8 Ser C ver 4.10. The new one is a 2710-T10C8 Ser E ver 4.41. First of all I figer out that isn't possible to upload it with my serial port. It's only possible to upload by DH+, the RS232 port is a port to connect the printer. The upload was succeeded so we mounted the new one in the cabinet. I always got the fault that de firmware is not compatible. I use the programme 'panelbuilder 32' version 3.83, could it be the problem? Please help me With regards, M

Hey, I'm working on a Embedded PC of Beckhoff. The visualisation will also run on this system. For trending I use the historical data, this will write a file on the main drive of the embedded PC. I searching for a function to write the files automaticly to an USB-Flash drive, after I pressed a button. The files need to stand on the main drive. With regards, RsLam

Hey, I'm just started with twincat. We also use the visualisation for trending and such kind of things. Now I want to know if it's possible to write the log-file to a specific file. So that I can set in my runtime application. So I want to make a string (par example: "Test"). That string has to use in the log file (Test_Log_1). If I would write "Lamifil" in to the string, the log file should be Lamfil_Log_1. Can someone help me. With regards, RsLam

I just proposed to use the ADR, it isn't been used in my programme. That cann't be the probleme ... (I hope so). Yesterday i found out that there was a newer firmware version, our drive has the 3.001 and there would be a 4.001, do you know how I can upgrade the drive, maybe the problem will be solved.

I would recommend the compactlogix, on the Controllogix you have always a backplane, from 4 till (I think) 10 cards, bij de compactlogix you only take the place you need. If you doesn't use the protocol DH+, i think its the best to use the compact. The switch to is quite easy, there are many programs to switch from slc to RSlogix5000. Even the RSview 32 is not so hard to switch to the visual studio. Succes with your choice.

The powerflex is part of a devicenet network. Yes there are message instructions sent to the drive. See attachement, I send a msg to switch between Torque / Speed, Read the current of the field and anker. Would it be a reasenable idea to use the adr on the devicenet scanner? Grtz MSG_DC.doc

Hello, In the last months we had a rare probleme with our powerflex's of a specifique machine. When we start up (power up) sometimes we cann't start the drive. Reasen : F48 (parameters to default). The only thing we can do, is download the parameters again in the drive. I've allready talk with Allen Bradley, where i get the answer that someone has to did it ... . We blocked the opportunitie to push 'reset to default' but still we've got the fault. I hope you can help us. With regards
