  2. network printer

Hi ! There is no problem in logging alarms in the ALARMLOG text file. I have checked this clearly that once i see the alarm on the alarmpage , i could see the same in seconds on the alarmlog text file ,but it takes could be minutes to print that on the printer. Moreover to say clearly , out of 5 alarms which comes in 2 minutes for example , the last alarm is only printing. some times prints only after shutdown of demo mode (shut down of drivers).
  3. network printer

Hi ! the same problem occurs even if the printer is connected via USB port !!???
  4. network printer

Hi All ! I have connected a Network printer as an alarm printer to Citect HMI Touch Panel(PC). When Iam running Citect project (version 6.10) which is logging alarms to LPT1.DOS ,my alarms print very slowly or fail to print at all until I shut down Citect .Why is this happening? we are using a oki netwok printer through ethernet interface card .And i have connected printer through ethernet cable to ethernet port of hmi pc(windows XP). The printer is installed using tcpip (local port) and then mapped to lpt1port using netuse command. I am using oki dotmatrix (line by line). And almost i am able to get a line print of the alarm but iits veryyyyyyyy slow.It happens some thing like this . Out of 7 or 8 alarms occuring in 2 minutes only one alarm (last alarm ) is printing .ans some times no printing untill shutdown of citect . I have been contacting citect Technical support about this problem for few days but they are still trying for proper solution. If any one of you already worked on this and have some idea, could u share ur knowledge soonest! thanks in advance.
  5. citect printer

  6. citect printer

ofcourse i checked the KB .I looked at the articles related to this . I have checked Q1113 :set the device type: ASCII_DEV file name: LPT1.DOS . device type: ASCII_DEV file name: IP_192.123.0.1 (As the printer is connected to TCP/IP port and not Lpt1.dos ) but there is no response .
  7. citect printer

I would like to make line by line alarm printing . Please any one can suggest how to configure teh printer ????? please suggest immediately.... thanks in advance!
  8. Citect HMI printer configuration

  9. Citect HMI printer configuration

HI Again ! iam using citect version 6.10. The thing is i could able to log alarms in to a text file automatically.. Also i could be able to print these alarms simultaneously on the print page . Thats no problem .The only problem is that i couldnot be able to print the alarmtag lines one after another line until the page is completed . Instead the printer is printing one alarm in one page. and then next alarm in next page ..and so on. and thats why i was thinking that setup is to be done to the printer ....what do u say?
  10. Citect HMI printer configuration

Thank you for your quick reply, dy checked this , in print managemtnet module of ctect help. But i wonder the configuration is some thng related with printer setup using esc comands !!!! what do u think ? Also in ur reply u mentioned to take 'citect help' and 'KB'. so what is KB? thanks in advance.
  11. Citect HMI printer configuration

HI ! I connected my citect HMI printer (windows xp ) to kiosk Printer via USB port . Now whenever there is an alarm tag shown on the Alarm page on the HMI printer, the alarm taglines is automatically printed on printing paper. But the problem here is , the first alarm tag line is printed in the first page and then again next alarm line prints on the next page(the remaining space in the first page is empty) and then page cuts .....it continues . It means in one page only one line prints and cuts and then next page only one alarm tagline ..and so on. so now what i want is ...i would like to set up the printer in such a way that when FIRST ALARM comes the printer printing the line .Thats ok.Then after SECOND ALARM should be printed in the second line of the same page instead of printing on second page. Could anyone please suggest how to configure the printer in that way.
