QuoteA few articles online say that PB32 will not work with windows 10.
That does make sense. PB32 is very old software.
Maybe the AB gurus will check in and verify that.

HMM ? I have not seen that before.
Try clinking on tools then options then default terminal setup, select your PV .
Then see if you have a choice .RS232 DF1 protocol
What happens if you select the PV (highlite it) in RSLinx before you try PB23?

I don't understand "no drivers available". Can you post a screen shot.
Have you tried to connect with PB32 yet?

A USB to serial adapter is fine but the cable from it to your PV must be a straight thru.
A 1747-UIC is for DH485 protocol only. It will not work on your PV's serial port which is DF1 protocol.

If the cable issue is not your problem then see pdf below for the passthru setup.
Also see link for memory card post. It talks about "FAT 16" as the proper format

What cable are you using to connect to the PV?
As I stated above the cable for your PV's serial port is a straight thru cable.
The cable to connect to your SLC's serial port is a null-modem cable (will not work on the PV).
Straight thru cable pin-out:
Pin 2 to 2
Pin 3 to 3
Pin 5 to 5
Null-modem cable pin -out:
Pin 2 to 3
Pin 3 to 2
Pin 5 to 5

What is the complete catalog number of your PanelView?
FYI, the serial port on a DH+ PV should work if printer is disabled, by using the DF1 driver in RSLinx
and a straight thru cable.

If you can connect with RSLinx, then Open up RSLogix with the file (new program) you want to download.
Select comms - who active_ highlite the processor and download the new program. It will overwrite the old.
Or
NOTE: By following this procedure the
Quoteprogram in the Processor will be erased
. 1) When prompted for the password enter MLCLRMEM , using the keypad of a telephone you must translate this into its numeric equivalent of " 65257636 "

The UIC is for DH485 only. The serial port would have to be configured for DH485.
You can configure it for DH485 if you want.
Or get yourself a good USB to serial adapter. See link for a good one.

Not all USB to serial adapters work. What brand do you have?
If that is what you are using to connect to the serial port.

that would be key of course.
If you can get online at all thru the DH485 port then I would change the control line protocol to no handshacking. That way a 3 wire null modem cable should work.
You may need a null modem cable with handshacking lines to get connected with how its set up now. ( I no expert on that though)

With the proper cables (and your UIC) an AIC+ will work for this.
See pdf
What is the issue with the RS232 port?
How is the RS232 port configured? Check the offline file.
We might be able to help solve the "issue".

Have you tried to change the "Device Type" value to PKTX ?
Click the down arrow for value options

Thanks Joe E. I was looking all over for that this morning to report the latest garbage.

The manual for the ML1100 Analog Input 0-10V also says that the 10Bit Unsigned integer is reflective of 0-10V as 0-1023 Counts.
That's for the embedded analog inputs.

Also data format for your 1762-IF2OF2 inputs are.. Set for "Raw proportional"
0 volts = 0 counts
10.5 volts = 32767
or
0 volts = 0 counts
10.0 volts = 31207 counts

It might be that RSLinx is running as a service (default installation), see link below to correct this.

The question is, if I have memory installed is there any way to write program modification permanently?
Yes.. See link
