  1. Hi, You can use lowcost OPC activeX control to develop SCADA within unlimite tags. COPC32 is the small and powerful ocx you could try at http://www.enco.co.th/COPCEng/index.htm You can use it with local and remote OPC Server. You can import OPC tag list from OPC Servers CSV file. Many tutorials helps you to get start with COPC32.
  2. Scada system

Hi, SCADA is a good choice to control/monitor all PLCs over network. You can collect all PLCs data into SQL Server via OPC Server. If you design to use OPC Server, you need some SCADA software or OPC ActiveX control to connect to OPC Server and collect data into SQL Server. I ever use VB.NET in my project to get data from OPC Server and send to SQL Server. I use OPC ActiveX control on VB.Net appliction. You can use VB,VBA,VB.NET,C#,VC++ with OPC ActiveX control. The SCADA software is easy choice but expensive. I choose VB.NET because it 's easy and flexible for our requirements.
  3. Ethernet communications howto

Hi, Moxa DE-311 is good, easy and its cost is lower. I ever use it in my project with FX series PLC. I can control and monitor all PLCs over network. I have used OPC ActiveX control in my VB IDE to connect to OPC Server connecting to PLCs over network. I use KEPServerEx OPC Server for FX series PLC and use COPC32 ActiveX control to communicate to OPC Server.
  4. PLC to PLC and to PC Communications

Hi, Use any SCADA (OPC Client) and OPC server to make communication between PLCs and PC is an easy choice and flexible for future extending network. If you can use VB, VB.Net,C# or VBA, you can use OPC ActiveX control instead of SCADA software. Its cost is lower and flexible to your requeirements. You can use Ethernet or Serial OPC Server for Misubishi Q Series. For OPC Server using with Q Series, pls visit KEPWare . An OPC ActiveX control with unlimited tags capable I know is COPC32.
  5. AB & VB Interface

If you have used OPC Server to connect to PLC, you can use low cost OPC ActiveX control to control/mornitor you PLC via OPC server. An unlimited tags OPC ActiveX control I know is 'COPC32'. It can used with VB,VB.NET,C# and VBA container such as MS Excel and any SCADA supporting VBA.
  6. Afcon Over Opc Server

Hi, If you would like to control any outputs of PLC, you have to write ladder into that PLC first. For example. -----||------------(y0001) M0001 Create new OPC tag on OPC Server reffer to 'M0001' in PLC. Then you can use OPC Client to control 'M0001' cause 'y0001' to on or off.
