Logix 500 display

I had a production employee that is taking a PLC class stop me. He said he loaded the RSLogix 500 software on his computer at home and the tool bar area and his tabs are black, and he wanted to change it. I told him that I don't think it is changeable from the 500 software it is part of his windows display setup. Am I correct in my thinking?
