GX Developer-New project

As a maintenance engineer I need to upgrade my skills to include a working knowledge of PLC control. To this end I downloaded the GX Developer from the download section, and read the tutorials on programming in LIST format. I wanted to practise the exersises from the tutorials but I seem to have fallen at the first fence in that on the GX Developer menu the "New Project" tab is greyed out, so I cannot practise some simple programms. Is this because its a demo or am I doing something wrong. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I'm not sure about the blanking out of the demo version but this is worth a try... Unzip the attached file and try and open it. It is only a couple of steps long and you should be able to rename it or save as different name. Best Regards Paul Ked Test_Flash.zip

Thanks for your help Paul. The problem seems to be in my laptop. I downloaded GX to my desktop and its workig fine now, including the New Project tab. Thanks again and regards.
