How to write a program for rewind diameter calculation

Did anyone know how to use plc to write a program for web rewinding diameter calculation. Somebody told me if you know the initial core diameter, web length & the web thickness then you will get the diameter. Anyone know what is the formula for this calculation ? Thanks !
