A Fantasy for Cinco De Mayo

1 post in this topic

Last year on May 5, 2005 a nefarious sub-continent acquaintance of mine showed me the source code for a little bot program called C5May.exe. It works on the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms as follows: 1. Launched from an unsuspecting PC onto the internet the bot awakes once every 55.55 hours looks for other PC's to propogate to and then goes back to sleep. 2. Once every 555.55 hours it awakes and forwards your ie history and IP address tables to two of four message servers. 3. April 15th of this year 2006 his server collected the history and IP data from all 4 message servers and compile it into a master active address list and send it back to all servers. 4. On April 25th C5May.exe will begin at 5.55 hour intervals to download 55.5 second increments of the master table. 5. On May 5th, 2006 C5May.exe will awake at 5:55:55 am and start pinging each and every address on the list from every infected PC with an internet connection active. Result a gigantic DOS for all internet users. A fantasy tale or a horror tale you be the judge.
