4 posts in this topic

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY HELPFUL HINTS ON USING THE LOG IN /LOG OUT FUNCTIONS ON PANEL BUILDER 32. I AM GOING TO BE USING IT ON AN OLDER PANELVIEW 1000 WITH NO KEYPAD. MY MAIN QUESTION IS WILL IT AUTOMATICLY GIVE THE USER A NUMERIC PAD OR DO I HAVE TO. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

J.A.D.E - Something seems to be wrong with your computer. Your caps lock is stuck on!!! Depends on what you call an older Panelview. My Standard Panelviews without keypads pop up the numeric display. Can you give the part number of your Panelview.

Sounds like you have a "touch only" model. In this case you will get a pop-up keypad. It may or may not have security built into it depending on the firmware version. I believe it has to be version 4.0 or later. The firmware can also be upgraded if it is an older version. The other choice is to use the PLC to handle security along screen status & control at the PanelView level.
