Card&socket Services Call Failed

Hi, Can somebody tell me why i get the message: during startup of my laptop 3-5 times and later at random. Step 7 version 5.3 + HF1 is installed. The popup message tells me to refer to the sinec2.log in the system directory but this logfile only shows me the date/time and the same message. Simatic Workstation and SIMATIC NET Information Service are active in the system tray. Thanks, Talpa

Not much help, but I can tell you that I have had exactly the same error message. I think it comes from some kind of network setup not being correctly deinstalled. Like you I have tried to find where it comes from with no succes. It only disappeared when I got a new PC (!). I would try to remove STEP7 and any other Siemens software completely. Go to Siemens support site and search for "Complete dinstallation".
