V700 Tag Readers

Hi. I have a project using V700 tag readers. In CX-Programmer's FB library, there are FBs to talk to V600's. Are these likely to be compatible? Thanks, Pp

... Unfortunately no. The function blocks you refer to are designed for PLC mount modules CS1W-V600Cxx or CJ1W-V600Cxx, which are not compatible with the V700 series. The V700 series controllers have a serial interface, and various options for interface are available. If you are using a CS or CJ series PLC I would suggest using a PLC mounted serial communications unit with Omron CX-Protocol software. Alternatively, the V700 series can be connected directly to a PC with serial interface software written to suit. As mentioned, other methods to interface are available, more details on your application / hardware configuration etc would be needed to provide any further comments.
