Tisoft download question

4 posts in this topic

I need the assistance of someone who is intimately familiar with TISOFT. I am programming a "new" Siemens 545-1105 PLC and was fortunate enough to find the tisoft programming software v6.7, the programming cable, and a laptop that I can run DOS on and has a serial port. I am trying to download the program that I have into the PLC I believe everything is working fine. I can run Tisoft and when I goto Offline mode I see the ladder logic. When I goto Online mode, I get a screen with a bunch of -----(NOP)-'s. So how do I get the ladder logic from the Offline program into the PLC? I have tried going through all the Configuration menu's in On-line mode, but I have not been able to get the program into the PLC. Best Regards, Andrew

Yep F6 for aux functions, you can do a full download, or any partials. From this same menu, you can also see or set the scan time, change the time slice for various functions, etc.... There is a windows based version of the software called Workshop 505, it has a lot more features that the older DOS version. On of the biggest advantages is it's easy to program, monitor etc over TCP/IP. You can also have a cross reference, SFPGM, and ladder window all open at the same time. I Don't know what the current price is, but would guess somewhere around $1500.00-2000.00 They have a downloadable demo: http://www.fast-soft.com/?page=product&product=ws505 Back when I was still using TiSoft, I used the demo version to trouble shoot offline, because of the windowing features. The demo version comes in handy, even if you never buy it.
