cx programmer workspace

Hi i'm new to cx programmer and have managed to mess with the screen layouts for programming.

basically the workspace and ladder no longer work as standard and when i click a ladder section it opens in a new window.

anyone know how to revert to default settings so the software runs as first installed.

From what you describe, it sounds like your ladder window is in Restore Down. (vs. Maximized). If it is Restore Down then all newly opened windows will be Restore Down. Conversely, when it is Maximized, all newly opened windows will be Maximized.

In my experience, if you start a new project the window and tool bar settings will be default. If you open an existing project, the window and tool bar settings are stored in the *.opt file with the project name. This file is not necessary for the integrity of the PLC program so you can just delete it.
