Alias tags

Hello,

I'm new with Bradley, I'm using Control Logix 5000, and I have one project in which Input is set up like alias type, attached pictures. In step 7, is impossible to toggle inputs but here I saw when I'm in remote run mode and if this card (where is this input) is not communicating with PLC I'm able to toggle this input? I suppose I should not be able?

Allen Bradley has always allows writes into the input map.  If the corresponding module is running, the written value gets replaced by the actual inputs quickly. But if the module is turned off (disabled in the I/O tree) or removed, the external writes into the input table will persist.  Ladder logic an also write into the input table.  This makes pre-deployment simulations very effective, as the logic under test doesn't have to change at all.

Allen-Bradley is just different from Siemens.
