micro1500 data to PC text file.

I am writing to ask how I can transfer data from a micrologix 1500 to a PC text file. I would like to use the serial port on the PC. I'm just not sure what I need for code, HELP. Thank You

What kind of data from PLC?

integer values; "machine rate", "good pieces", "reject Pieces", counter and timer accumulator values. These values may also need to be sent to an excel spreadsheet.
