Posted 4 Jul 2020 I'm integrating a small project using an IDEC FC6A-C24. I have a couple fo the IDEC FC4A-R081 relay modules laying around and wondering if the FC4A named module will work on the FC6A? I have one and have tried it but getting a bus error. Not sure if the relay card is good either, as it was rolling around in my travel box.
Posted 4 Jul 2020 Reading this online manual, the answer is no. https://us.idec.com/idec-us/en/USD/medias/EP1624-FC6A-datasheet.pdf?context=bWFzdGVyfGRvY3VtZW50c3w5NDc5MzB8YXBwbGljYXRpb24vcGRmfGRvY3VtZW50cy9oMDQvaGFiLzg5Mjk2Njg4OTA2NTQucGRmfDI3MzRkYzg3ZGRlODA0NWZmYTdhYTdjNGZlMTEwYzNiMzAwZDNmMzc0OGNiMjdmYjJiMDExYmU5Yzc3NWY4ODM
Posted 5 Jul 2020 I've used the FC4A Analog module, on a FC6A, which they thankfully added a checkbox to help with the remapping of points. That noted, this is the basis which I am asking the question about the relay card. If they did the analog card, have they also made the other IO modules usable? I'll try it when I get back to the lab that doubles as my garage.
Posted 8 Jul 2020 I've looked at several supply houses and none of them have the FC6A version of this card in stock. Hmmm...
