I am currently using excel to monitor my PLC code (Controllogix) via a DDE topic set up. I would like to be able to turn on and off bits from excel through the DDE topic set up. The current cells in excel are set up as follows: =RSLINX|topic_name!tag_name Thanks

I've done this before with a FORM CONTROL BUTTON in Excel. I actually made an HMI screen in EXCEL that could start and stop a conveyor using DDE within Excel. I don't have that sample Excel Sheet handy anymore, but I do have a logger sheet that you can get the same ideas from: http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?act=Downl...&CODE=02&id=134 There is also a VB DDE application in the VB downloads section that more ideas could be used.
