Ethernet Card

I need help to set up a Ethernet card on a PLC5, I have installed allready in the rack, I just do not know how to connect to it, ei, Do I need a cross over cable? What settings I use from the processor(plc5)? What I.P. address I use? Please help. Thanks Luis

Could you give more details, what are you trying to do exactly? Connect the PLC to a laptop, a desktop, a Scada system? Will you be using a switch, hub, or router? Will it be connected to a control network, a company LAN, or WAN? Ken
