SUPPORT FOR THE 1756-L61 CONTROLLER IS NOT INSTALLED

Hello, I tried to open my project and this message came up. I do have RSLogix 5000 mini, doesn't this cover L61?? Any help would be appreciated.

You are correct; the "Mini" edition of RSLogix 5000 supports only CompactLogix controllers.     The 1756-L61 is a full size ControlLogix CPU. The features of the various Editions of Studio 5000 are in the Ordering Information document: http://www.rockwellautomation.com/resources/pdf/rockwellsoftware/product-pages/LogixDesigner_orderingInformation.pdf To open a project for a 1756 series controller, you'll need at least the Standard Edition. One workaround you might try is to temporarily remove the *.LIC file (back it up !!) and see if the software will come up in Grace Period Mode as Standard.   It might not;  since you bought Mini it might literally not install support, rather than just not licensing it.   If you just want a printout for reference, you could ZIP and attach it and somebody can print it to PDF for you.
