ML1200 PLC Counter question

Hi, I'm setting up a micrologix 1200plc and panelview 300 to do batch counting on a machine. I need to be able to read/write counts just over 1 million. How would I address this in logic? Should I use the HSC? Lou

The HSC would only be needed if you need to count at a fast rate. Otherwise you need a "Long" data type. I'm a little rusty on the Panelview 300. Do you see a long data type in it?

I think the PVc300 uses real data, not sure on long though. I'll find out when it comes in. Lou
