SLC5/03 with PanelView Component

I'm having trouble communicating between a Panelview Component (C600) and a SLC5/03. I'm trying to talk point to point. I want to use DH485 protocol on the DB9 ports of both units. What should the pinout be between the C600 and SLC? I found conflicting information in the user manuals. Any other pointers? Thanks, Mike

First the SLC port needs to be set to DH485. Second.....is the Panelview a serial model or something else and it has a serial port. If its the first is it a DH485 model? (it'll be indicated on the back of the unit).....if its not it won't do DH485.....if the unit has another port (DH+/DH485/Ethernet) than the serial port is printer only and won't do DH485. Its an ASCII port.

Sparky, Thanks for the information. I ended talking to my distributor for help. Turns out that Port 1 is a serial port that uses DH485 protocol. I didn't have the PLC name matched up on both sides. It's now talking. Thanks, Mike
