E-Mailed : Connecting a modem to a PLC 5 to dial

Hello Chris, I was reading your article on the micro and modem. Do you think that it is possible to connect a PLC 5 and a modem to do the same thing. I have a plc 5/40 enhanced and a sportster 33.6 external fax modem. I am pretty sure that I can do this. I am not so sure about the plc logic. The at commands are pretty straight forward. Any help that you can send my way would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Benji Boren

It should be the same. I used a NULL cable 9-25, you'll need a NULL cable 25-25 You can make one up here: http://www.hardwarebook.net/cable/serial/n...odem25to25.html Just follow the same configuration of Channel 0 on your PLC 5, (the 25 pin connector). Pretty much replicate the logic you see in my example, but change the PHONE NUMBER!! lol..... Did that answer your question?
