4 - 20mA with CompactLogix PLC

I have used the SCP command on the 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B CompactLogix plc. I get the scaled with parameters command working with the 1769-IF4 module (wire connections Iin0+ & V/I in 0-) but when i connect my source into the actual plc itself it does not work. I seem to get the value of.... 2#0000_0000_0000_0000 in the input field. I am setting the input connection as.... Local:2:I.Ch0Data Also i have ticked the boxes on the Embedded Analog_IO all to read 4 - 20mA. Anyone have any ideas what i am doing wrong?

What is the source voltage? Current inputs must be powered. If your source is a device and you haven't powered it correctly current won't flow and your input will be 0. Change the input field to decimal. 2#0000_0000_0000_0000 is the binary representation. <- this won't fix your problem however displaying an analog value as a digital value isn't going to be helpful for troubleshooting Edited 9 May 2014 by Michael Lloyd
