My Device Net on a SLC 500 looses certain parameters and I have to re download after each time the power shuts off. any suggestions on the fix???

Exactly what device and what parameters ? Some DeviceNet scanners can perform "auto device reconfiguration" and will set slave devices to a saved set of parameters on power cycle.
