Posted 1 Apr 2014 Hi All, On a ML1400 Analog Module 1762-IF4 there is a bit for "Open Channel" that goes high if the wire is cut. I think the following bits are used. Channel 0 is bit 95 Channel 1 is bit 93 Channel 2 is bit 91 Channel 3 is bit 89 Is there similar bits for "Open Channel" used on a ML1500 1769-IF8...??? If so what are the bits..??? Thank you, Mark
Posted 2 Apr 2014 (edited) Your 1762-IF4 has over and under range flag bits, but I don't believe it has open channel flags. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The 1769-IF8 has the same over and under range flag bits ( although different word/bit addresses). underrangeIF8.pdf Edited 2 Apr 2014 by Mickey

Posted 3 Apr 2014 (edited) Thanks Chantecler... I just know on all my 1400 that on the 1762-IF4 module that if I monitor the channel bits and remove a wire that the bits mentioned above immediately go to a one. I was hoping that the 1769-IF8 had similar bits. If not I can always use a 1769-IF16C which has similar bits. Thanks again for the info I will try them.
